Tune in Tuesdays Webinar Series
Learn how other institutions are empowering educators, gaining efficiency and ultimately aiding in institutional success
What is Tune in Tuesdays?
About the webinar series
On one Tuesday each month, join us online as Blackboard users from across the APAC region share and demonstrate their best practices using Blackboard solutions.
All institutions aim to deliver a more engaging and powerful learning and teaching experience. The 'Tune in Tuesdays' webinar series has been designed to help you get inspired about how you can do just that!
Each month, you can expect to learn how other institutions across the APAC region are using Blackboard solutions. Whether it be Learn Ultra, Collaborate, Open LMS or even Ally, spend 45 mins of your day learning how other institutions are improving their student experience, empowering their educators, gaining efficiency and ultimately aiding in institutional success.
We hope that these sessions will open your eyes to new and innovative ideas that you can then put into practice in your institution.

Why Should You Join?
For Mapúa University and Malayan Colleges Mindanao, STEMTeach has been a dream community project partnership between government and the private senior high schools. Using Blackboard, this university and its sister colleges have designed a program that empowers faculty to take education to the next level. Join us for this webinar to learn about this inspiring implementation and its effects.
This session will look at how Griffith University is taking a ‘pedagogy first’ approach to the application of technology and how this can provide a sharper focus of how we advance our learning and teaching. This is particularly important now that much of what we do has moved into the online space and as we consider making these spaces more active, collaborative and authentic. With so many tools out there to choose from now, a ‘pedagogy first’ approach can help us to understand which combination of tools will provide us the most affordances.
Hear how James Cook University has utilised the Blackboard Learn Ultra platform to extend support of new academic users of the system.
See how the University of Santo Tomas (UST) continues its long-standing success in massive-wide eLearning adoption by designing a new training program specifically targeted for skeptics and traditionalist teachers to fast track their pace of adopting and adapting the affordances of online instruction.
This webinar will explore the pedagogical approach to using this technology and explore examples and best practice on how you can intentionally meet specific objectives of your learning experience – not just to create a ‘wow factor’ in your lesson.
Cortex is a University-wide template that is being applied to LMS sites to increase consistency of the student experience while aligning to quality standards – we use the Quality MattersTM rubric. The template contains essential items which are mapped to the University's e-learning and online learning standards. Cortex provides academics with access to our design standards, with embedded checks, as they are building and editing content in their sites. The requisite standards are visible “just in time” and are therefore more likely to be implemented.
Cortex uses specific design principles to enhance the (student) user experience across devices, including narrowing the reading canvas and including expand and collapse features on item headings. These and other styling changes make Blackboard more accessible for our users across different devices.
