Session 2:

Extending the Reach of your Learn Environment

Blackboard’s Training & Development Management Solution

Presenter: Lloyd Stock, Senior Educational Consultant, Blackboard

We’re seeing growing interest from clients who want to use Blackboard Learn for activities beyond traditional credit bearing courses. It makes perfect sense. Yet, often these activities include participants outside the Student Information System, and it has been challenging to accommodate them – until now.

In this interactive session we’ll explore a new extension for Blackboard Learn, called the Training and Development Manager. This allows institution to support use cases like:

  • Short courses, summer schools and CPD
  • Internal staff development activities
  • Pre-enrolment engagement
  • Participants in research project or clinical trials
  • Community outreach.

Blackboard’s Training and Development Manager extension sits in front of your existing Blackboard Learn environment on the cloud. You deliver the course as normal through Blackboard Learn, but the Training and Development Manager solution provides a wrapper for all the administrative needs.

This session will be applicable to anyone who wants to leverage the power of Blackboard Learn for delivering learning of any non-credit bearing form.
